It's a Whirlwind!

I just got back from 6 days at The Ridge. Everything happened so quick I only got small glimpses of the beauty this place is. I was thinking with wind gusts on some of those days of 40 mph how that is how life is feeling right now. When you are on the river those wind gusts come out of nowhere!
We were able to get the pool inspected and passed, Brian and his friend Jeff were able to get the drive widened at the entry and fixed some wash out spots. Two loads of rock came in, I planted several bulbs of dahlias and cleaned out all the flower beds. New barn doors were put on the barn, we cleaned out the guest bedroom at the main house, bought a new bed for the master bedroom at the main house, added a vanity into the main house bathroom-it is glorious since we only had a sink before. I drained the hot tub and completely cleaned and dried it for the next guest in cabin 2. I hedged the bushes at the main house which takes me a ladder to do-I am short so I will slowly whittle these until they are at a height I can do from the ground. Got chemicals for the pool, got items at Home Depot, went to the Mark Martin Museum, tried a couple of new eateries, cleaned the pavilion bathrooms, Brian fixed the shower head in one, oh and he put in a new tub faucet for the main house-also glorious because I love to soak in a bath! Cleaned cabin 3, ordered a top off for propane, put some items not needed on marketplace, visited with the OG property manager before we bought the place-Kevin. He has fast become a great friend and ally. Had to miss his crawfish boil which disappointed us, but we had last minute things we had to do before we left again.
We did bunches, and our bodies were a little stiff, but it was also a relief. The upcoming months are filled with bookings and warmer weather, and I am closer to being up there full time. Just like with the wind gusts on the river, it is not always that way. Most of the time there are clear skies and only soft breezes and no whirlwinds in sight1
